What We Believe

The Godhead
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (I John 5:7, Matthew 28:19)

Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that salvation is in Jesus Christ without works or baptism. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 4:5)

Eternal Security
We believe in the eternal security of the believer and that one is kept by the power of God, sealed unto the day of redemption, and cannot fall from grace after salvation. (I Peter 1:5, Ephesians 4:30)

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious death for sinners, His literal bodily resurrection, and His literal bodily return to this earth to reign for one-thousand years. (I Timothy 3:16)

Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and that all men are sinners by birth and by choice, and of themselves, utterly unable to remedy their lost condition. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23)

Ordinances
We believe that there are only two scriptural ordinances within the local church: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that every child of God should be baptized by immersion after salvation in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19) And, that each local church has the authority to partake of the Lord’s Supper, which consists of unleavened bread and grape juice.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rapture out His people before the Tribulation period takes place, and that He will return after this period to reign in Jerusalem for one-thousand years.

The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God (Prov. 30:5). We believe the “holy scriptures” (2 Tim. 3:15) have been preserved in the English Authorized King James Version, and are thereby “given by inspiration of God” (2 Tim. 3:16).
